So, it’s Chain Mail? Isn’t it heavy? How much does it weigh?

A 45” long 1” wide scarf is just 2 ounces. Many women say they find the weight comforting or grounding. Larger pieces are heavier, the dresses are under 5 pounds. Wedding dresses and beaded gowns can weigh much more. Elaine designs with weight distribution in mind so that her pieces are comfortable to wear.

Is it scratchy or itchy?

Not at all. In fact, it’s surprisingly soft. The secret is the fine rings used in its construction. The smaller and finer the rings the softer (yes soft!) chain mail feels

Will it pull or get caught in my hair?

No. The ends of the rings are welded and they move so freely within each other they just don’t catch in hair.

Will it catch on my clothing?

See above.

Does it tarnish or turn my skin or clothing colors?

It is made from high-quality stainless steel and so it won’t tarnish or stain clothing or skin.

How do I care for it?

As with any material, it can get dirty over time. This can be minimized by storing in a plastic bag. But, when that fateful day finally comes, don’t despair. Use dish soap and water and scrub the chain mail against itself, rinse and let dry. Use care not to let pearls soak.

Will you make a custom piece for me?

Elaine often makes one of a kind pieces, in fact, all the dresses are one of a kind. She also loves to work with people on custom pieces.

What is Your Return Policy?
Refunds:

The appropriate tax amount by item will be included with your refund. Original shipping fees (if applicable) may be deducted from the value of your refund unless the return is a result of our error (i.e. a defective or wrong item). Refunds will be issued in the same form as payment originally used for purchase. Returns must be made within 30 days of your order date. A refund or replacement will be processed within 7 working days of receipt of the returned item(s). Any purchase during a sale or with a coupon code is a final sale.

There are no returns on custom orders.

Please note: Please note: Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. A 5% (or $20, whichever is less) restocking fee will be assessed on orders that are refused by the customer at the time of delivery or returned due to an undeliverable address.

We do not accept returns on items that were not purchased via this website. If you purchased from us at an event, contact us directly to discuss options.

Exchanges:

We do not offer exchanges. If you would like to exchange a product, please return it using our refund process and then place a new order.
